PassionArts Beach Festival

Pasir Ris Beach Arts Festival is a community festival, co-organzied by Pasir Ris East Community Arts and Culture Club and Pasir Ris West Community Arts and Club. The aim of the event is to feature art works created by the local community and to increase public interest in the arts. The beach arts festival also hopes to foster community spirit through shared spaces and common interests. The festival theme for 2018 was Neverland. This art installation was co-created together with the members of the origami club from Pasir Ris Elias CC. Participants designed and created over 60 paper seahorses over a course of 4 weeks, based on the assigned theme colour and concept. Audiences were whisked away into a playful underwater fantasy scene. The colourful and vibrant artworks created a transformational experience to an ordinary space.
